I'm a Licensed Psychotherapist in Florida and Connecticut. I have 40+ years of clinical experience and I hold 2 Masters Degrees from Syracuse University. I'm a member of the Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) statewide association attending annual conferences so that I can remain current with trends and advances in evidenced-based clinical and social practice.
I believe that good mental health is extremely important for individuals, families, parents and couples. I've spent 4 decades helping others find and bring harmony and structure into their lives. Life happens and no one has to face it alone. I'm here to help you sort through difficult issues and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. Mental Health Therapy
I work with adolescents, adults, families and couples individually and in groups. I'm equipped to treat symptomology and develop exercises to help clients cope with conditions related to: anxiety, stress, depression, death/grief, trauma, heartbreak, ADHD, anger management, abandonment, PTSD/PISD, eating and personality disorders, self-esteem, marital & social relationships, infidelity, divorce, sexual and domestic abuse, self-harming, parenting, Bipolar I and II, Borderline Personality Disorders, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics). Family & Parenting Therapy It's no secret that parenting can be an enormous challenge depending on family dynamics, outside influences and your children's age range. With 30+ years of experience, I've worked with youth and families in residential and outpatient programs. Through experiences with my own family, I share and teach families how to effectively communicate with each other eliminating defensiveness from the conversation. I strategically help parents develop safe, structured discipline leading towards stable and healthy relationships while targeting a win-win approach for the whole family. Marital & Couples Therapy I help couples deal with betrayal, infidelity, grief and family issues. I'm effective at using EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) to help couples learn and understand the importance of better relationship and communication skills. I help couples understand each other's temperaments, strengths, challenges & stumbling blocks with a goal of boosting and maintaining a solid partnership benefiting my clients as well as the rest of the family entity. Addiction & Obsessive-Compulsive Behavioral Therapy I'm an experienced therapist and group therapy facilitator for addictions in the areas of alcohol, drugs, internet and sexual compulsions. I'm skilled at using various modalities for treating and managing physical and/or mental compulsive tendencies such as hoarding, self-harming, shopping, eating, gambling, trichotillomania, checking, counting, washing and repeating. Adoption, Divorce, Parenting & Custody Mediations
I'm a trained mediator specializing in the areas of adoption and divorce and I've also been an approved mediator for the Superior Court juvenile matters in Connecticut. I work with families, couples, agencies and attorneys towards a calm, planned and beneficial approach surrounding settlements, child-custody, visitation plans and asset/property division. Licensed Clinical Social Work (LSCW) Supervision & Mentoring I'm a licensed clinical supervisor registered with the Florida Board of Social Work Professions. I've spent years supervising, mentoring and training graduate Master of Social Workers (MSW) preparing to become fully licensed. I offer flexible options and payment plans to support MSWs with the required 100 weeks of supervision. Upon full licensure, I can advise on the necessary steps to begin a private practice including getting paneled with health insurance companies, marketing, networking and client acquisition. |
